Working Principle of Welding Neck Flange
A welding neck flange connects to the pipeline through butt welding.
The long tapered neck gradually transfers stress from the flange to the pipe, significantly reducing stress concentration at the weld joint.
Once welded, the flange is bolted to another flange using bolts and nuts with a gasket placed between them.
This structure creates a secure and leak-proof sealing system that allows fluids or gases to flow safely through the pipeline.
This design makes welding neck flanges ideal for high-pressure and critical service pipelines
Advantages of Welding Neck Flanges
Superior Mechanical Strength
The tapered neck provides excellent reinforcement and reduces mechanical stress.
High Pressure Resistance
Suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature pipelines.
Reliable Sealing Performance
Provides tight sealing when used with proper gaskets and bolts.
Long Service Life
Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for extended durability.
